Patrick Gowers, jazz pianist and composer of iconic TV scores Sherlock Holmes and Smiley’s People, also wrote spine-tingling anthems for English cathedrals. His lifelong inspiration was the music of JS Bach. In this evening's special concert the Trinity Laban Chamber Choir explore them both.

This summer composer Judith Weir was appointed as Master of The Queen's Music. She is the first woman to hold this acclaimed post and the appointment has been hailed as excellent and imaginative.

Join us in the Playhouse to celebrate Judith's 'addictive, scintillating music' (The Guardian) in the presence of the composer, as well as works by the previous six Masters, from the appointment of Elgar in 1924 to the most recent holder of the post, Peter Maxwell Davies.
